Upcoming events
Loitering NYC finds New York events where you can linger and talk to strangers. It reads curated newsletters, every event calendar in the city it can find, and the pages they link to. It has scored 32,292 upcoming events.
An AI model reads each listing and scores it from 0 to 10. Events score high when they leave room to talk: a gathering or a party, a light theme, no sales pitch, strangers easy to approach, and anyone welcome. Talks, performances, and shows score low, since everyone faces one speaker or one object. Below are the best of them, a recurring series counted once.
How the scores break down is on Statistics, and every source it reads is on Sources.

The best events come first, earliest first among equal scores. Each event carries the model's one-line reason. Choose dates to see the best 100 events of each day, or search the events scoring 3 or more by title, place, or what they are.
